TAEONA

Terms of service

What the product is

TAEONA reads a brand's website, generates social media images and video from the brand's own product photography, and schedules them. Where you have connected an account, it publishes on your behalf — by default only the individual posts you have approved, and, if the workspace owner has turned automatic publishing on, the posts on your calendar at the times set for them.

Your content and your accounts

Who you are contracting with

These terms are between you and Taeona, Inc., 742 S Hill St, STE 903, Los Angeles, CA 90014. They are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and disputes go to the state and federal courts located in California, whose jurisdiction both sides accept.

Your account

TAEONA is currently invite-only. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens under your account. Tell us at hello@taeona.com if you think someone else has access.

Connected accounts and publishing

Connecting an account does not authorise a post. How posts reach your accounts is a setting on your workspace, and it is yours to change:

Fees

TAEONA is free during the invite-only beta. Nothing is charged today, no payment details are collected, and there is no paid plan you can sign up to. Credits — the usage unit the product spends when it generates an image or a video — are granted by us.

A credit is a usage unit, not money: it has no cash value, cannot be transferred between workspaces or exchanged for cash, and can only be redeemed for work inside TAEONA.

If we introduce charges, we will publish the prices and the refund and cancellation terms here first, and no existing account will be charged without being told by email and in the app beforehand and being given the chance to stop using the service.

Acceptable use

Do not use TAEONA to produce or publish content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, that impersonates a real person or organisation, or that breaches the rules of a platform you have connected. Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, access other customers' workspaces, or resell the service without our agreement. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why where we lawfully can.

Availability and changes

We may change or discontinue features. Where a change materially reduces what the product does, we will tell you by email and in the app at least 30 days beforehand. The service is provided as-is; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and generated content may contain errors, which is why a person reviews it.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, TAEONA is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that generated content will be accurate, original or fit for any particular use — which is why a person reviews every post before it goes out.

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost goodwill, even if told such damages were possible. Our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of TAEONA, for all claims combined, will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars (US$100).

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability a mandatory law of your country does not allow to be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Ending it

You can stop at any time — Delete account removes your workspace and every stored file. We may end your access for a breach of these terms or if we stop offering the service, with 30 days' notice, except where a breach requires us to act immediately. On termination your data is handled as described in the privacy policy, which also lists the records we keep.

Changes to these terms

We will notify you of material changes by email and in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use TAEONA after that means you accept them.
